American Legend Aircraft Company now offers TrickAir skis for its Legend Cub. The light-sport Legend Cub was approved for operation on TrickAir Model 1500 skis in 2007. Trick Air has now obtained
supplemental type certificate (STC) approval on its skis
following extensive testing. Two models have technical
standards orders (TSOs) for a variety of aircraft including
TrickAir 1500 skis for the original Piper J- 3 and PA- 11.
These same skis are also available for use on kit-built
planes including the Texas Sport Cub.
TrickAir skis, manufactured by Trick Air LLC in Weyau-wega, Wisconsin, use a wheel penetration ski design, allowing ease of installation as well as operation on hard
surfaces without the need for removal.
American Legend also announced that Foothill Air-
craft of Upland, California, has been named as a dealer
for the Legend Cub. Foothill Aircraft will provide a wide
range of services including U.S. sales and support to Leg-
end Cub operators in southern California and Nevada.
