The place to be for LSA industry
“Sebring,” the adopted moniker of the U.S.
Sport Aviation Expo, isn’t like any other
major aviation event in the world. It’s not an
air show, or a builder’s forum, or your typical fly-in. It’s
best described as a trade show for the rapidly maturing
light-sport aircraft industry.
Thanks to Expo Chairman Bob Wood and a large cadre
of volunteers, not only was this year’s event an excellent
place for potential LSA owners to “kick the tires” (resulting
in some 20 aircraft being sold), but also it was clear that
many of the 11,500 attendees came primarily to check out
the competition and strengthen relationships. The following paragraphs provide some of the new product headlines
from this year’s expo, held January 22-25. If you’re an LSA
enthusiast or potential buyer, mark your calendar for next
year’s event, scheduled for January 21-24, 2010.
