28 Inspired Restoration
Adrian Eichhorn’s Beech P35 Bonanza
Timothy R. Gaffney
In an instant, he was pulling back the
canopy cover and opening the engine
compartment to show off his new-looking 1962 P35 and its immaculate
Continental IO-470 engine. Adrian has
been lavishing the airplane with loving
care since he bought it in 1991.

36 Realizing Rotorcraft Dreams
Doug Busch: helicopter builder and pilot
Jim Busha
Once you are bitten by the flying bug, whether
fixed-wing or rotorcraft, the journey to the sky
becomes all-consuming—no matter how long
it takes. Just ask EAA member Doug Busch,
EAA 495306, who made the transition from
fixed-wing to rotorcraft after dreaming about it
for 20 years.
42 Roughing It
Aircraft modifications that help missionary
pilots might help you
Michael DiFrisco
…think your airfield is rough? You may
be able to make some of the same
modifications to your aircraft. Just follow the
lead of the MAF.
48 REMOS GX
Flying Qualities
Ed Kolano
Take a REMOS G-3 and redesign the
wing to make it lighter and stronger;
then do the same for the fuselage while
extending the baggage area and adding a
dorsal fin to improve directional stability.
Make the Sensenich ground-adjustable,
two-blade propeller standard equipment.
Next make the aircraft night visual flight
rules capable. Throw in a few other
functional improvements and voilà—you
have the REMOS GX.
