to keep a boy happy for a lifetime! That moment—that moment—
made a difference in my life. That
is what I wanted to do…and have
been doing since 1965. Secretly, I’d
like to be able to do that for another
kid. I don’t care if he/she becomes
a pilot, mechanic, engineer, avionics technician, dispatcher, controller,
or whatever. I just want ’em to do
what makes ’em happy—and aviation offers a lot of opportunities to
be happy. A bunch of RV- 12 parts
just may be the catalyst for me to
help with that.

I’m not a Pollyanna in all this. Life knocks us all down a time or two somewhere along the way. But when you have something you love, it’s easier to get back up. An airplane is only as good as how ell you build it. It’s the same with life: It’s what you make it. Things learned, things earned, not things handed to you, are what make you a better person.
