what our members are building & restoring
Missouri | Safari
This is my first homebuilt project thanks to the supportive atmosphere of EAA. After a three-year build we received the airworthiness
inspection in July 2008. Balancing and tracking was done by Safari
personnel. I completed the company-recommended flight transition and maintenance training at its Marianna, Florida, facility. The
helicopter is equipped with a TMX O-360 engine, A200 comm radio,
Garmin 320 transponder, and AvMap GPS. Thanks to my wife,
brother-in-law, and the very helpful people at Safari for an enjoyable
build and even better flying helicopter.

This is the third of three Bamboo Bombers I have owned. I acquired
N66671 after it had been in an accident in the early ’90s, and I am in
the final stages of a long restoration process. Check out my restoration site at

Canada | RV- 7
My RV- 7 was first flown February 2006 at Victoriaville Airport by my
friend Normand Girard. The construction went from January 2004
through January 2006, working only during the wintertime with my
uncle Jean Paul. C-FYVO is equipped with a Lycoming IO-360-M1B,
Sensenich fixed-pitch prop, Stratomaster electronic flight instrument
system, Icom A200, transponder, Garmin 196, electric flaps, and
strobe lights on the wings. Thanks to my mother.

Florida | Stolp SA 900 V-Star
I received my airplane in September 2005 at the Zenith Distribution
Center near Tampa, Florida. With the expert guidance of Russell
Lepre, I was able to build all of the control surfaces, wings, and the
tailwheel conversion by November and deliver the project to my
hangar in Sarasota. Thanks to the help of my friends—Pat Grella, Dr.
Bob Lombardi, and Norm Harris—N13SF received its airworthiness
certificate on November 2, 2006. Total construction time was just
over 13 months.
