EASA Certification
Mooney Airplane Company’s M20R
Ovation2 GX has received its certifi-
cation from the European Aviation
Safety Agency (EASA). This long-
range single-engine piston aircraft
cruises at a top speed of 190 knots
at its service ceiling of 20,000 feet.
At a lower cruising speed of 173
knots true airspeed, it offers a range
of 1,860 nautical miles. This certi-
fication represents the qualification
of the Ovation2 GX with the Gar-
min G1000 avionics suite, which
was certified in the United States in
2004. The M20R Ovation has been
certified in Europe without the glass
panel on a per country basis prior
