CHAPTER 60 CREATES
WARNER-CURTISS REPLICA
EAA CHAPTER 60, BELOIT, Wisconsin, built a
detailed replica of the Curtiss airplane Arthur
Pratt Warner flew from a farm field near Beloit
for the first flight in Wisconsin on November 4,

1909. The plane was part of the Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame’s centennial of flight celebration and has been displayed in several Wisconsin cities throughout the past year. It will be donated to the Beloit Historical Society Museum for permanent display.

MARKOWSKI PRESENTED 2009 ACHIEVEMENT AWARD CONGRATULATIONS TO MICHAEL MARKOWSKI, EAA 64765, who has been awarded the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania 2009 Achievement Award. He was presented the award at the 29th Annual Pennsylvania Aviation and Aerospace Conference on October 8. Michael was inducted into the EAA Ultralight Hall of Fame in 2007.
