A;ordable Pietenpols keep people flying!
KEN PERKINS OF OLATHE, Kansas, is a self-professed purist when it comes to Pietenpol
Air Campers. ;at’s why he has a 1931 Ford
Model A engine on N34KP, his brilliant
orange-and-cream Time Machine. After all,
that’s the engine that Bernard Pietenpol, the
Air Camper’s designer, used in 1929, and it’s
still a viable powerplant for this tandem,
open-cockpit airplane.
