TRYING IT OUT

After returning from Alaska, I rented the REMOS and went flying. As I turned final for Runway 9, I saw three big colored dots painted on the 6,000-foot runway and was reminded there is one week a year when spot landings become very important on this giant runway. During EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the controllers don’t clear you to land on a runway; they clear you to land on a dot.
