NEVADA BELLANCA
MY 1946 BELLANCA sports a Lycoming O-360 with a Hartzell constant-speed prop. It was in a fire in 2006. I bought another one for the
wings, and my son and I restored it in less than a year; it has about
50 hours since. It has a completely redesigned instrument flight
rules-equipped panel (steam gauges only), Brittain wing leveler, and
a hydraulic gear. It is my third “cardboard Constellation.” It flies at
more than 160 mph. It is hangared at Fallon Municipal Airport (FLX)
in Fallon, Nevada.
WASHINGTON BUSHCADDY
I STARTED MY PROJECT in December 2006, and N620MP
received its experimental light-sport aircraft (E-LSA)
airworthiness certificate in August 2009 after 735
hours’ build time in two and a half years. The engine is
a Jabiru 3300 turning a ground-adjustable Whirl Wind
prop. The avionics include a glass panel from Grand
Rapids Technologies, Microair radio and transponder,
and Alpha RLI, and the paint is Stewart Systems two-part waterborne paint system. I have 11. 5 hours on the
BushCaddy, and it has turned out to be a great flying
machine. Thanks to my wife for her support, Don
Morrisey, Ron Shannon, Jim Scott, and to all the friends
I have met throughout this project. You can see the
whole build log at

TEXAS RV- 7
N743DM RECEIVED ITS airworthiness certificate on July 14, 2009,
and my first flight was on August 12, 2009. The plane was finished
and flown 11 months after the quick-build fuselage and wings
arrived at my house. The plane is powered with a Lycoming O-320
150-hp engine swinging a Catto two-bladed composite prop. It has
dual B&C alternators, B&C starter, a Vertical Power 50 electrical
management system, Dynon D180 with dual servo autopilot and
heated pitot tube, a Garmin 430W, a Garmin GI 106A, a Garmin
GTX 327 transponder, and a Flightcom stereo intercom system.
Thanks to my wife, Marge; my brother, Scooter; Marcus
Goetting; Darrel Reilly; Paul Schmitt; and Bryan Decker. I owe
special thanks to Rick Huebner of Alton, Illinois, and Seth
Hancock of Georgetown, Texas.
