I would recommend these lights for VFR airports. The solar charge isn’t perfectly reliable late into the night for IFR operations [after a cloudy day]. They did stay on until almost sunrise if the previous day was sunny. These could save quite a bit of money from running thousands of feet of wire along a runway or taxiway. I would still recommend brighter runway end identifier lights be used, but they’re fine for taxiways and runway markings. … Paul Dowgewicz, EAA 545927

This is really a great product for the price and really easy to install. For private grass strips I don’t think it could be any easier or cheaper. Best timer I’ve ever used! Big numerals, two timers, up or down, easy to set up, and, most importantly, setting up for use is intuitive, so you don’t have to chase down the instructions every time you want to use it. I also like the red blinking LEDs along with the alarm, so that you know when it times out even when you have a noisy cockpit or headphones on.
