A YOUNG EAGLE BRINGS
“FIFI” BACK TO OSHKOSH
ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS of AirVenture
Oshkosh 2011 was the return of the
Commemorative Air Force’s B- 29 “FIFI”—
the only flying Superfortress in the world.
At the controls was 29-year-old David
Oliver, who began his aviation career with
a Young Eagles flight in a Breezy flown by
Arnie Zimmerman. Arnie has been giving
Breezy rides at Oshkosh for 22 years, averaging 350 rides each year. Here is a photo
essay depicting the flight and arrival of the
world’s only flying B- 29, “FIFI”.
