TOP: Over the years Vic has overhauled the engine
and prop on his Harvard 4, and his wife helped
him redo the interior as well. The paint scheme
it sports is the same as when the airplane was
based at RCAF Penhold. CENTER: Vic says he has
a very talented friend who made the bar for him
and installed the wainscoating. Hanging on the
walls are old images of his airplanes, Britain, and
aviation artwork. BOT TOM: The British-themed
hangar is home to his Chipmunk and Harvard 4.
His mother’s first husband was an RAF pilot who
was lost early in the war. His father was a B- 17
mechanic based at Polebrook. Vic says he was
impressed at an early age by the things his British
relatives would send him.
