EAA CHAPTER 162 HONORS REAR ADM. JERRY C. BREAST
EAA CHAPTER 162 IN NASHVILLE honored Rear Adm. Jerry C. Breast,
who has a remarkable history of service to our country. An aviator
for 32 years, he flew light attack jets from 13 different aircraft
carriers, including 336 combat missions over North Vietnam. Later
he spent three years with the Pentagon
as program sponsor for the F/A- 18,
and subsequently commanded Carrier
Battle Group Two during the punitive
strikes against Libya in 1986.
Mayor Karl Dean joined Chapter
162 in honoring Rear Adm. Breast,
whose presentation recounted
historical events on a personal and
engaging level. “Excellent on so many
levels,” said event co-host Shelby
Smith, EAA 322875. “We all were there
with him as he shared some incredible
life experiences.”
